This policy describes our practices when BuzUp determines why and how personal information is processed. When a business customer uses BuzUp to process information about its own leads, customers, employees or other individuals, that customer may be the controller or business responsible for the information and BuzUp may process it on the customer's behalf.

We may collect information about how our websites and services are accessed and used, such as device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from technical information, log information, application activity, diagnostic information and interaction with our services.
Information our customers provide
Business customers may submit or connect information about their prospects, customers, contacts, employees, representatives and other individuals to BuzUp.
Where BuzUp processes this information on behalf of a customer, the customer is responsible for determining the lawful basis for collecting and using the information, providing appropriate notices, obtaining any required permissions or consents and responding to requests from the individuals concerned.
BuzUp processes such information to provide the services requested by the customer and in accordance with applicable contractual terms. Where applicable, additional data-processing obligations may be addressed in BuzUp's Data Processing Agreement.

Intelligent processing and automated features
Certain BuzUp features use intelligent or automated processing to help structure information, summarize customer interactions, identify relevant context, organize actions, support prioritization or recommend possible next steps.
These outputs are intended to assist users rather than replace professional or business judgment. Automated summaries, suggestions, classifications and recommendations may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before important action is taken.
Where customer information is processed through intelligent features, the applicable customer's instructions, product configuration, contractual terms and applicable law continue to govern the use of that information.
Legal bases for processing
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, BuzUp may process personal information on one or more of the following grounds:
- Contract: where processing is necessary to provide requested services or perform an agreement.
- Legitimate interests: where processing is reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and support our business and services, provided those interests are not overridden by applicable privacy rights.
- Consent: where you have given consent for a particular activity and applicable law recognizes consent as the appropriate basis.

When we share information
BuzUp does not disclose personal information indiscriminately. We may share information in the following circumstances:
Service providers
We may use service providers that support hosting, infrastructure, communications, analytics, customer support, security, scheduling, payment administration and other functions required to operate BuzUp.
Within your organization
Information may be visible to authorized users, administrators, managers, teams or branches within the organization according to configured roles, permissions and account settings.
Connected services
When an authorized user connects BuzUp to a third-party service, information may be exchanged with that service as required to operate the selected integration.
Legal and safety requirements
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety and integrity of BuzUp, our customers, users or others.

Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Integrations and third-party services
BuzUp may connect with supported communication, email, calendar, meeting, customer-data and business systems through integrations, APIs, webhooks or other supported connection methods.
When you authorize a connection, BuzUp may process information received from or sent to the connected service according to your configuration and permissions.
Third-party services operate under their own agreements and privacy practices. BuzUp is not responsible for the privacy practices of a third-party service once information is processed independently by that provider.
Authorized administrators should remove or disable integrations that are no longer required.
International data transfers
BuzUp may support organizations operating across different countries and regions. As a result, personal information may be processed in a country other than the country in which it was originally collected.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, BuzUp will use an appropriate transfer mechanism or contractual safeguard required for the relevant processing arrangement.
Enterprise customers with specific regional hosting, transfer or data-residency requirements should confirm those requirements with BuzUp before implementation.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant services, maintain legitimate business records, comply with applicable law, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the customer's configuration, contractual obligations, the purpose for which the information was collected and applicable legal requirements.
Where BuzUp processes customer data on behalf of a business customer, deletion and return of data may also be governed by the customer's agreement with BuzUp and any applicable Data Processing Agreement.
Security
BuzUp uses administrative, organizational and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or loss.
BuzUp Enterprise and supported platform functionality may include organizational access controls, administrative settings, user roles and permissions that help customers control access to customer information.
No online service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate account permissions, protecting login credentials and promptly notifying BuzUp about suspected unauthorized access.
Specific hosting, security, certification, compliance or enterprise-security commitments apply only where they have been expressly verified or agreed in writing.
Additional information may be available on our Security page.
